Fire Alarm Service Engineer

Location: Portsmouth & surrounding areas
Salary: £38,000 £ 40,000 per annum + Company Vehicle + Training
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join our growing team covering Portsmouth and the surrounding areas. The role involves servicing, fault finding, maintenance, compliance inspections and small works on a wide range of commercial and residential fire alarm systems. Experience with AOV/smoke control systems is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Service, maintain and fault-find on fire alarm systems
Carry out small works, remedial works and system modifications
Replace and commission conventional, addressable and wireless devices
Upload, download and configure fire alarm panels
Complete fire alarm surveys and identify upgrade opportunities
Test and verify Cause & Effect (C&E) programming
Complete maintenance reports and compliance documentation
Ensure all work complies with BS 5839 and industry standards

Essential Requirements

Minimum 2 years' fire alarm servicing experience
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
