With 1.5 positions available, this opportunity welcomes both full-time and part-time candidates seeking a fulfilling contract role for the upcoming academic year, starting at the end of August. Working in a diverse district serving students from kindergarten through high school, you’ll provide essential assessments, counseling, and support services that help students thrive and reach their full potential.

Required

Skills and Experience:

  • Hold a current Virginia School Psychologist license (or eligibility to obtain one prior to start)
  • Open to both experienced professionals and new graduates passionate about school psychology
  • Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with students, teachers, staff, and families
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Solid understanding of child development, learning differences, and behavioral interventions

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological and academic assessments for K-12 students
  • Develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with school teams and families
  • Deliver direct counseling, crisis intervention, and consultation services
  • Interpret test results and provide recommendations to support student learning and well-being
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and help plan effective interventions
  • Contribute to positive school climate initiatives and behavioral support strategies
