Position: IT Product Support Manager (IT Cybersecurity Specialist)

This vacancy is for a GS - 2210 - 12, IT Product Support Manager (IT Cybersecurity Specialist) located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, C5

ISC COMMAND CONTROL and NAVIGATION PRODUCT LINE in PORTSMOUTH, Virginia.

To qualify at the GS-12 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.

Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis.

Specialized experience must include the following:

  • Managing delivery of information technology services to customers, gathering requirements, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Planning, coordinating, and executing information technology or cybersecurity projects involving schedules, resources, and implementation activities, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Analyzing operational or technical issues and implementing corrective actions to improve system performance and service delivery.
  • Monitoring, evaluating, and assessing project performance, service delivery, and operational outcomes to identify issues, implement corrective actions.
  • Applying cybersecurity principles, security protocols, risk management concepts, and information assurance practices to support information systems and services.
  • Identifying, assessing, documenting, and mitigating cybersecurity and supply chain risks to protect information systems, support mission requirements, and improve operational resilience.
  • Collaborating with customers, contractors, technical teams, and stakeholders to coordinate service delivery, resolve issues, and achieve mission objectives.

In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirement, you must also have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the competencies listed below.
