Position: RIGGER SUPERVISOR I with Security Clearance
Duties
* You will hold musters of personnel daily to ensure the safety of the workers, pass on shipyard information, relay scheduled appointments and discuss job related problems and information.
* You will establish deadlines, priorities, and work sequences.
* You will participate in scheduling and establishment of the Work Packaging strategy to provide effective production schedules.
* You will plan the use of workers, equipment, facilities, materials, and tools provided though the AIM process for assigned units of work.
* You will provides technical direction to subordinate workers in the rigger trade.
* You will lead conferences and job site consultation with forces afloat and other supervisors/leaders to resolve work problems and provide help and guidance to achieve maximum team effectiveness. Requirements Conditions of employment

* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
* Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
* You will be required to work in small and/or confined spaces.
* You will be required to climb ladders and scaffolding.
* Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
* Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR . Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO LEAD OR SUPERVISE
* Experience Implementing methods that allow individual journeyman assigned to the supervisor to perform at continually higher levels of cost, quality and schedule performance;
Utilize components unit phase level schedules, shipyard instructions and shop processes to establish goal oriented work assignment;
Monitor the status of assigned work in relation to the overall scheduled requirements including unanticipated or emergency requirements;
Leads a team of trade leaders and journeymen in the performance of complex rigging evolutions in support of repairs and alterations including, but not limited to manufacture, repair, install, test and inspect components and all other work operations under the cognizance of the Rigger Trade.
* Experience controlling and effectively utilize helper and trainee level employees, overtime, common skills, second set-of-hands, leaders, back shifts, overhead budgets, and training;
Conduct planning reviews with assigned personnel, engineers and technician of support codes where needed;
Provide expert advice and guidance on rigger processes and trade skills to management and mixed trade supervisors on assigned project.
