Duties
* You will evaluate and fabricate a wide range of complex Containment Barriers throughout the shipyard.
* You will plan, organize, coordinate, and implement numerous quality-related requirements as they relate to design, fabrication, inspection, installation, and removal for both off-hull and in-hull enclosures.
* You will assess complex containment needs depending on the area located and the hazards involved.
* You will determine and develop the fabrication, methods taken, materials needed to create and install, lay out work and equipment used for preparation and construction of radiological and non-radiological barriers and enclosures.
* You will select, cut, shape, join, bond, fit and assemble containments.
* You will utilize your knowledge of theories, principles, techniques, and practices of design and drawing to work from both isometric and two-dimensional views. Requirements Conditions of employment

* You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
* Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
* You will be required to lift/carry up to 50 pounds in weight.
* You will be required to climb ladders and scaffolding. * Experience resourcing in-depth knowledge and technique, skill in reading, interpreting, and correctly following complex written instructions;
* Experience with drawings, blueprints, specifications, radiological engineering standard, proper ventilation requirements-based knowledge of trade materials for containment fabrication;
* Experience applying skill in mathematical principles of arithmetic, algebra, and geometry to determine irregular curves, angles, planes, pitches, cylindrical, tapered, truncated cones and frustums for containment lay out;
