Location: Hampton Roads, VA (Field work aboard U.S. Navy vessels and in industrial settings)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Chemical Cleaning Technician to support field service projects including filtration, hydro-blasting, flushing, testing, and chemical cleaning. This is a hands-on role ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who are eager to learn and grow within the industrial services industry.
Key Responsibilities
Field Services:
- Perform job tasks including filtration, flushing, hydro-blasting, chemical cleaning, and testing.
- Follow detailed work plans and procedures while adapting to field conditions when necessary.
- Communicate updates to supervisors, co-workers, and clients to ensure project success.
- Service, maintain, repair, and test tools and equipment before and after projects.
- Assist with loading and unloading equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Read and follow safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural guidelines.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and client requirements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in chemical cleaning, flushing, or industrial services is preferred, but not required.
- On-the-job training is available for fast learners with a strong work ethic and mechanical aptitude.
- Valid U.S. driver's license required.
- Comfortable using basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and understand technical documents, safety guidelines, and equipment manuals.
- Quick Learner: Willing to learn new skills and procedures in the field.
- Team-Oriented: Works well with others in dynamic environments.
- Dependable: Reliable and ready to take on physical, hands-on work.
- Communicator: Keeps the team and clients informed on job status and any issues.
