  • Perform complex machine setups with little to no instruction
  • Select, install, and adjust tooling, including offsets and compensation
  • Set and manage multiple 3-axis work offsets within a program
  • Machine raw materials to precise specifications using CNC and conventional equipment
  • Monitor multiple machines simultaneously and adjust offsets and G & M code as needed
  • Inspect high-precision parts using GD&T standards to ensure tolerance compliance
  • Optimize feeds, speeds, and cutting strategies based on materials and job requirements
  • Identify and manage tool wear, deflection, and performance issues
  • Edit and proofread G & M code at the machine and via PC (.TXT files)
  • Perform test runs to validate programs and prevent errors or crashes
  • Apply best practices to maximize efficiency and quality
  • Design and build fixtures or holding devices as needed
  • Assemble machined or fabricated components as required
  • Operate forklifts and other shop equipment as needed
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Qualifications
  • Strong experience performing machine setups independently
  • Proficiency with precision measurement tools, including:
    • Calipers, micrometers (OD//depth), bore gauges
    • Height gauges, surface gauges, gauge pins/blocks
    • Specialty gauges (pitch, radius, thickness, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of:
    • GD&T and tight tolerances
    • Tool wear, deflection, and material properties
    • Methods for achieving flatness and dimensional accuracy
  • Ability to safely operate power tools and shop equipment
Why This Opportunity
  • Contract-to-hire pathway with long-term potential
  • Competitive pay based on experience ($27–$35/hr)
  • Work on complex, precision machining projects
  • Strong team environment with opportunities to grow your skills
