Patient Safety Attendant PRN — Portsmouth, VA

As a Patient Safety Attendant, you will play a vital role in protecting patients at risk for falls, injury, or self‑harm. You will closely monitor their physical and emotional well‑being and communicate concerns to empower the care team to respond quickly and help care for and improve lives one moment at a time.
Responsibilities- Watch patients with continuous focus to ensure their safety and well‑being.
- Identify risks such as falls or self‑harm and promptly alert the care team to intervene quickly and protect patients.
- Document patient activity and changes with accuracy and clarity throughout your shift.
- Honor patient privacy by safeguarding confidential information at all times.
- Collaborate closely with the healthcare team to foster a culture of compassion, respect, and teamwork.
- Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification within 90 days of employment start date.
