Front End Web Developer – Portsmouth, NH

This position is for our Portsmouth, NH office. Come join the best web development team in the region as our newest Front End Developer! You will help Vital maintain existing websites as well as build new ones using the latest in JavaScript, CSS, and HTML technologies. Along with coding, you will be responsible for working with project managers and designers on a regular basis to make each project the best it can be.

• Build responsive, adaptive, mobile‑first websites that meet usability and accessibility web standards and best practices.
• Collaborate in a team‑oriented environment.
• Multitask and prioritize, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Use front‑end programming languages such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3; proficiency is expected.
• Show initiative, ask questions, learn new skills, and work hard.

• 1+ year(s) of web development experience.
• Experience or familiarity with PHP‑based applications; mainly Word Press.
• Familiarity with Git version control.
• Experience with workflow automation tools such as Grunt or Gulp.
• Basic understanding of SEO principles.
