Construction Manager - Earthwork / Tailings Job Summary

Plan, direct, and monitor all project resources in the field to ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget and in accordance with the specifications.

Job Responsibilities

To manage and provide leadership to Subordinates controlling on a day to day basis all labor, direct or subcontract, and all non-labor resources in order to achieve the construction schedule and the project quality on the site. The construction schedule and the project quality on the site are successfully achieved.

Assist the Project Management team to promote and develop team work. Assistance is successful.

Ensure Subordinates plan and manage that all necessary resources are available at site in order to meet the construction schedule through regular construction meetings. The construction schedule through regular construction meeting is met.

Understanding the basics of the project budget and ensure that costs do not exceed budget. The cost is effectively managed.

Maintain and actively implement SHE programs and responsibility (involve identify, mitigate and monitor SHE risk), including SHE Management System to ensure the effectiveness of the programs conform to official standard, requirements and procedure applied and to confirm the execution of the SHE Responsibility meet the intended outcome - SHE risk well maintained.

  • SHE Management System meets the current ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SMK3 & SMKP standards and requirements
Education

Bachelor's Degree of Mechanical Engineering

Skill, Knowledge, and Experience
  • Min. 8 to 10years of previous experiences in construction
  • Computer literate, including knowledge of computerized architectural data bases and/or CAD drawing systems.
  • Analytical, reasoning and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and detail records.
  • Willing to Work extended hours to ensure project completion on time.
  • Organizational, supervisory and negotiating skills
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written is an advantage
