Our client, a growing holding company with multiple operating subsidiaries, is seeking a highly capable Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its fully remote U.S.

-based leadership team. The organization oversees seven operating subsidiaries across financial services and related sectors, providing scale and diversity while maintaining a lean, agile structure. As CFO, you will shape enterprise financial strategy while staying closely involved in execution—overseeing financial reporting, treasury, audit coordination, and regulatory compliance, and supporting mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures across the portfolio. Success in this role requires a confident communicator who collaborates effectively with a fully remote team, engages comfortably with the Board, and balances strategic leadership with a roll-up-your-sleeves mindset.

This is a rare and exciting remote opportunity for a proven financial executive to serve as a true partner to the CEO and Board, influence enterprise-wide decision-making, and help guide the organization through its next phase of growth and transformation.

  • Lead financial strategy and operations across the holding company and its subsidiaries
  • Take charge of SEC reporting, US GAAP compliance, financial reporting, and treasury functions
  • Manage external audits and coordinate closely with auditors and legal counsel
  • Support and execute M&A and divestiture activity, including diligence and integration/separation efforts
  • Partner with executive leadership and the Board on budgeting, forecasting, capital allocation, and long-term planning
  • Ensure strong internal controls, risk management, and regulatory compliance
  • Build, mentor, and manage a lean finance and accounting team
  • Operate effectively in a high-visibility role within a small, agile organization
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required; MBA or CPA preferred
  • Experience with SEC reporting and operating in a public-company environment required
  • 7+ years of senior financial leadership experience (CFO or equivalent) required
