Role & responsibilities
1. Strategic & Leadership Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the companys financial strategy, aligning with business goals.
- Provide board-level insights and decision support on investments, cost management, and growth opportunities.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring high performance, accountability, and succession planning.
- Partner with CEO, COO, and department heads to drive operational efficiency and profitability.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning (FP&A) processes.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to management, investors, and regulators.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and treasury operations.
- Optimize capital allocation and investment decisions.
- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP).
- Manage internal controls, audits, and regulatory reporting.
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate financial and operational risks.
- Conduct financial modeling, scenario planning, and profitability analysis.
- Support M&A, fundraising, or strategic partnership activities.
- Drive cost optimization, efficiency initiatives, and process improvements.
1. Education & Certifications
- Bachelors in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration (mandatory).
- MBA or Masters in Finance/Business (preferred).
- Professional certifications highly valued: CFA, CPA, ACCA, CMA, CA.
- 7 to 10 years in finance, with 3 to 5 years in a managerial/leadership role.
- Experience in multinational companies, fast-growing startups, or remote teams is highly preferred.
- Exposure to regional financial regulations (UAE VAT, Singapore GST, corporate taxes).
- Strong FP&A, accounting, and treasury expertise.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, etc.) and financial reporting tools.
- Ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong decision-making capabilities.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and adaptable to changing business environments.
- Comfortable leading remote or cross-cultural teams.
- Strong business acumen, able to align finance with company strategy.
