Overview
The Mortgage Loan Closer prepares the initial and final closing disclosure (including review of the Seller CD) and closing package, funds the mortgage transaction, ensuring that all documents are complete, accurate, and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This is a corporate position which may be located at an available bank division in Coeur d'Alene, , Post Falls, , or Spokane, WA.
The entry rate for this position is $19.12+ per hour (calculated for Coeur d'Alene, ).
All compensation offers are analyzed individually and take into consideration multiple factors including geographic location, years of experience, and educational background. WA Applicants ONLY range:
Spokane $21.01 to $31.53 per hour.
- Maintain a professional, courteous, service‑oriented relationship with all parties involved in the loan process. Act as liaison between the company, title/escrow, and the originator to ensure timely closing, accurate completion of loan documents, and coordination of the closing process.
- Schedule and prepare loans for closing once the Underwriter has approved the loan and conditions are cleared. Ensure closing documents and instructions are accurate by:
- Reviewing fees and final figures from title/escrow, calculating cash to close, and validating loan data
- Entering required data into the Loan Origination System (LOS)
- Delivering Closing Disclosure per proper Service Level Agreements (SLA)
- Sending the closing document package to title/escrow and borrower (if eClosing); receiving signed closing documents from title/escrow and requesting funding of the loan
- Following up on any missing or incomplete loan documentation in all files processed and/or closed
- Complying with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control

High School Diploma / GED (Required) - Experience
:
Mortgage Fulfillment experience required; familiarity with loan platform software (e.g., Encompass) and the ability to learn additional applications. Closing experience is preferred. - Skills and Abilities
:
Ability to multi-task, strong organizational and analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to interact calmly and professionally with people from diverse backgrounds at various levels. Must comply with applicable laws and regulations (BSA, Patriot Act, OFAC). - Licenses/Certifications

- Travel
:
Occasional travel required (less than 10 days per year) by various modes of transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities. - Working Conditions
:
Indoor, climate-controlled shared work area; environment with moderate noise; primarily sedentary with occasional physical activities as described in the job duties.

Starting salary is dependent upon relevant experience and geographic location.
