Patient Care Coordinator - Northwest Hand To Shoulder Center

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented, customer-service-focused Patient Care Coordinator to join our Northwest Hand to Shoulder Team. The candidate must have a professional demeanor, be able to work well under stress, provide great customer service, and multitask.

• Perform a variety of medical clerical duties.
• Registration and pre-registration functions to ensure smooth transitioning of patients through required services.
• Prepare pre-registration packets appropriately for each procedure.
• Ensure copies of appropriate documentation are obtained to facilitate billing and collections.
• Process co-payments and payments.
• Register patients and update medical records.
• Back up all incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate person or department.
• Perform nightly closing procedures for clinic.
• Call patients for pre-registration notification including copays and deductibles.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
• Ability to relate and work effectively with others.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service background.
• Prior clerical or medical office experience preferred.
