Scheduler – Northwest Hand to Shoulder Team
Northwest Specialty Hospital seeks a detail‑oriented, customer‑service‑focused Scheduler to join our Northwest Hand to Shoulder Team. This position will be located at our new Liberty Lake, WA clinic.
Responsibilities- Schedule appointments for patients and manage assigned providers' schedules.
- Verify demographic and insurance information and ensure proper records and documentation are in place.
- Maintain accurate records associated with scheduling and patient documentation processing.
- Provide excellent customer service to callers on a multi‑line phone system and return voicemails in a timely manner.
- Project a professional demeanor and appearance while maintaining confidentiality of patients, coworkers, and the hospital.
- Work under stress and in situations that demand patience and tact while providing impeccable service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Experience
- High school diploma required.
- One year of prior clerical experience in a medical setting strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills to build relationships with physicians or their support staff.
- Knowledge of insurer and payer processes.
- CPR/BLS certification or obtain within first ninety days of hire.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD‑10 codes, and medical terminology preferred.
- Demonstrates eligibility for employment in the United States.
- Three years of medical office experience preferred.
Pay:
From $20.00 per hour.
