Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a detail-oriented, customer service focused Imaging Coordinator to join the Imaging Team.
ResponsibilitiesIn this role you will be responsible for registration and pre-registration of patients, preparing pre-registration packets, calling patients for preregistration notice, collecting co-payments and account payments, registering patients and updating medical records as needed, entering and retrieving information from ITS and PACS; preparing and presenting paperwork for clinical procedures done in Imaging. You will work closely with clinical staff to provide patients with screening and procedure education, monitor PACS for STAT preliminary reports and critical findings, facilitate communication of that information, and back up all incoming calls directing them to the appropriate person or department.
You will project a professional demeanor and appearance while maintaining the confidentiality of patients, coworkers and Northwest Specialty Hospital as appropriate.
Preferred Experience
- High school diploma required.
- One year of prior clerical experience in a medical setting strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of basic computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills to build relationships with physicians or their support staff.
- Knowledge of insurer and payer processes.
- CPR/BLS certification or obtaining it within the first ninety days of hire.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 codes and medical terminology preferred.
