Position: CLINICAL SYSTEMS ANALYST - IT DEPARTMENT

Job Overview

Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking an amazing Clinical Systems Analyst to join the IT team.

Responsibilities

Under the general direction of the Clinical Applications Manager, the Clinical Systems Analyst is responsible for planning and implementing projects related to the Information Systems & Applications within the NWSH Information Services department. This individual participates in the development of workflows, system configuration, application deployment, change control documentation, and support of staff on application functionality. This requires the individual to remain current with the system and/or application as well as interfacing with NWSH clinical and business office departments and external vendors.

The individual must have a good understanding of the EMR technical infrastructure where applicable. The individual must also be comfortable with providing assistance both remotely and in person. The individual must employ excellent communication skills in sharing information with users within the department and the hospital. This position will be responsible for the on-going maintenance, implementation, testing, training and support of all clinical systems utilized  individual will need a comprehensive understanding of every project assigned;

business needs being addressed, the major constituents affected and their stake and role in the project.

Qualifications and

Preferred Experience
  • Comprehensive EHR Support Experience (preferably Meditech)
  • Degree or Certificate in a healthcare discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience. CMA or LPN preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years clinical experience in a hospital setting.
  • In-depth understanding of hospital workflows, medical terminology.
  • Ability to make judgments in demanding situations.
  • Ability to react to frequent changes in duties and volume of work.
  • Effective communication skills (written and oral communications skills, especially active listening, and writing).
