Be the Technology Backbone of Our Transportation Team! Do you love problem-solving, keeping systems running smoothly, and helping people succeed through technology? As a Technology Systems Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the Transportation Department by managing and improving the technology systems that keep our operations moving.
What You’ll Do- Move Technology Forward:
Support technology projects from research and planning through implementation and deployment. - Keep Systems Running:
Maintain, repair, and upgrade computers, software, hardware, and operating systems for local and remote users. - Provide Tech Support & Training:
Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, VPN, and VoIP issues, and deliver clear, effective technology training. - Manage Technology Assets:
Purchase, inventory, and track equipment while documenting support and repair history. - Support Daily Operations:
Perform routine system checks and updates and serve as a key liaison between staff and management on technology needs.
- You're tech-savvy:
You understand computer hardware, software, and networking fundamentals. - You're knowledgeable about networks:
You’re comfortable with TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, VPNs, and Active Directory. - Managing systems with confidence:
You have experience with Windows Server/Desktop OS, VoIP, and virtualized environments. - You're organized and proactive:
You’re a self‑starter with strong problem‑solving and time‑management skills. - You work well independently and with others:
You collaborate effectively while managing your own responsibilities. - You communicate professionally:
You interact clearly and courteously with staff, contractors, and participants.
- Minimum:
Associate degree in Computer Science with two (2) years of related IT experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. - Preferred: A+ Certification and other relevant industry certifications.
- Salary range of $20.44 - $31.34 per hour + benefits.
- Full-time (40 hours per week).
