Position Overview

Pay
: $17.00 per hour (base pay range: $17.00/hr – $17.00/hr). Compensation will reflect skills and experience.

- Prepare all vehicles for sale, auction, or trade according to proper policy and procedure.
- Prepare all vehicles for delivery, perform a pre‑delivery inspection.
- Prepare all vehicles received from auction, trade, or purchase according to proper policy and procedure.
- Keep interior and exterior of vehicles clean.
- Maintain a clean and organized lot, moving vehicles to maximize space and keep the lot in order.
- Check vehicles daily and report any problems or concerns; recognize general dealership and lot repairs that may need escalation.
- Keep vehicles fueled.
- Ensure that required forms and stickers have been completed and are properly displayed or removed as necessary.
- Catalog and store keys.
- Operate the car wash.
- Confirm that all vehicle gates and external building doors are locked and that supplies and tools are put away for the night.
- Perform necessary seasonal tasks such as pulling weeds, blowing leaves, plowing snow, and brushing off cars.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness of building interior, including emptying trash bins, cleaning restrooms, stocking paper products, and cleaning surfaces.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- A team player focused on providing exemplary customer service.
- Able to lift 50–60 pounds; stand, walk, stoop, bend, and twist on a daily basis in all weather.
- Able to safely operate a wide variety of cars, trucks, SUVs, and vans, including both automatic and manual transmissions.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Pass a motor vehicle report and possess a safe driving record.
- Pass a criminal background check and drug test; subject to random drug testing and other company testing protocols.
- Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing all day.
- Regularly required to talk and hear.
- Must be able to lift or move items at least 50 pounds.
- Vision requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
Team members regularly work 40 hours per week, primarily outside on the sales lot. Exposure to wet, humid, door, and combustibles may occur. The environment is fast‑paced at times but generally quiet to moderately loud. Loud noises may occur in service areas.
