Optical Sorting Specialist/Operator

• Collaborate with plant maintenance leadership to develop preventative maintenance plans to reduce equipment downtime and optimize labor utilization.
• Assist with team member trainings and skill validations.
• Support the management team in developing preventative downtime plans associated with defects and continually work to reduce downtime.
• Achieve adequate recovery rates in collaboration with team members.
• Assist the Quality Control Team in meeting AQL on defect specifications.
• Provide technical and problem‑solving support for plant operations and maintenance crews.
• Execute plant‑specific maintenance strategies to achieve key performance goals for overall maintenance performance and quality downtime.
• Ensure production schedules are met and all issues are resolved and communicated in a timely manner.
• Inspect operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational and safety standards and customer quality specifications.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

• Superior equipment troubleshooting skills with the ability to think outside the box while following all plant safety policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to complete the LOTO validation for the area.
• Hold sanitation qualification.
• Commit to maintaining, abiding by, and setting an example for all safety rules, sanitation regulations, and quality standards set by Lamb Weston.
• Mechanically inclined.

• Required to sit, stand, and walk throughout the plant.
• Must use computers and operate motor vehicles.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
