About the Role
VRC Engineered Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Tooling Technician to support our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for managing tooling maintenance, repairs, changeovers, and documentation to ensure efficient and uninterrupted production.
Key Responsibilities- Perform mold changeovers efficiently and safely
- Clean, inspect, and maintain molds and tooling
- Maintain accurate MRO records in IQMS
- Update tooling and changeover documentation
- Assign and track storage locations for molds and fixtures
- Support minor tooling repairs and crating as needed
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks and maintain records
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (bending, crouching, standing, etc.)
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work independently or as part of a team
- Previous experience in tooling, manufacturing, or mechanical maintenance
- Experience with IQMS or similar ERP/MRO systems
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong problem-solving skills and a curious, continuous learning mindset

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Positive attitude and adaptability in a fast-paced setting
- Accountability and ownership of work responsibilities
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality
