** What you'll be doing as an SMT Operator 1:*
* + Setting up, operating, and maintaining equipment used in the SMT process of electronic assembly

+ Demonstrate the ability to follow directions from management and leads

+ Read, interpret, and understand operation sheets (Op Sheets) and production flow documentation

+ Proficiently operate SMT line equipment including Screen Printer, Pick-and-Place Machine, Reflow Oven, and Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) Machine

+ Perform visual inspection of boards for soldering quality and proper component placement

+ Use and navigate Machine Control Software (MCS) and Bar Menu systems

+ Perform daily and weekly machine maintenance and documentation log sheets

+ Identify and communicate quality trends, recurring defects, or potential issues in a timely manner

+ Suggest and submit updates to Op Sheets and documentation when discrepancies or improvements are identified

+ Participate in the introduction and ramp-up of new assemblies into production

+ Keep work area clean, organized, and free from hazards

+ Follow all manufacturing processes, procedures, and safety guidelines

+ Maintain reliable attendance and demonstrate a strong work ethic

* Job requirements:

* + Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with People Ready

+ High school diploma or equivalent required

+ Computer literacy

+ Mechanical aptitude

+ Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing

+ Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality

+ Ability to work independently and in a team environment

+ Commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and adherence to safety standards

+ Experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments

+ Experience utilizing hand tools and/or assembly equipment

+ Surface mount, thru-hole, and hand soldering experience

+ Component , MT Inspection Certification, IPC-A-610, or equivalent

+ Sit or stand for long periods

+ Perform repetitive tasks and motions

+ Repetitive use of hands including use of manual and finger dexterity and multi-limb coordination

+ Frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move heavier items utilizing a team lift

+ Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

+ Occasionally must reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, balance, push/pull, and traverse stairs

+ Proper use of PPE and ESD control gear

+ Manufacturing plant, climate controlled with some exposure to outside air/temperature

+ Noise level may exceed permissible exposure limit and hearing protection may be required

+ May be exposed to airborne contaminants, fumes, odors, dust, moving mechanical parts, and vibration

+ Use of PPE is required and may include safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and other PPE (based on assignment)

+ Use of ESD control gear is required and may include grounding straps, smock, and other items (based on assignment)

+ There may be potential exposure during response to chemical incidents, bodily injury incidents, and other emergency situations
