Grow With Us.J&K Commercial Construction is expanding our stainless steel manufacturing division, and we’re looking for a dependable, hardworking Shop Laborer / Stainless Steel Polisher to join our team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands and wants to learn the metal fabrication trade while getting paid.

We provide hands-on training and opportunities to cross-train in different areas of our manufacturing operation. As your abilities grow, you'll have opportunities to learn additional equipment, fabrication processes, and positions within J&K.We want people who want to learn, become more skilled, and grow with the company.

WHAT YOU’LL DODeburr sheet metal products

Use grinders, Scotch-Brite wheels, soft spirals, deburring tools, and other finishing equipment

Deburr and prepare fabricated components

Assist with assembling stainless steel cabinets, display cases, and commercial kitchen equipment

Assist fabrication crews as needed

Package and crate finished products

Load and unload trucks

Move materials using pallet jacks and forklifts

Read basic fabrication drawings

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop Learn additional fabrication processes as your skills develop WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR Reliability and punctuality are extremely important at J&K. Our entire team depends on each other, so we need people who show up on time and are ready to work.

Ideal candidates will have:

Familiarity with grinders, cutoff wheels, drills, impacts, and other power tools

Basic mechanical skills

Ability to read a tape measure

Basic math skills

Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings

Good communication skills

Ability to follow instructions and maintain a positive attitude

Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

Willingness to learn new skills and take on different responsibilities

Willingness to obtain forklift, industrial safety, and CPR certifications after hire Forklift experience is helpful but not required — training can be provided.

PAY & BENEFITS $18.00 – $26.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
