Overview

Nurse Manager - Full Time

Northern Idaho Advanced Care Hospital in Post Falls, Idaho is a long-term acute care hospital dedicated to patients with serious, medically complex conditions that require extended hospitalization and specialized care. We provide advanced critical care services for individuals recovering from severe illness or injury – including ventilator weaning and respiratory therapy, complex wound care, post-intensive care rehabilitation, and management of multiple organ system conditions.

Our highly skilled team of physicians, critical care nurses, respiratory therapists, and rehabilitation specialists deliver around-the-clock care with a focus on stabilizing health and promoting recovery. The hospital features advanced monitoring equipment and all private rooms to enhance patient comfort and safety. North Idaho Advanced Care Hospital is expanding its services and will be opening an in-patient rehabilitation (IRU) unit to pair with its long‑term acute care beds.

The IRU will provide acute rehabilitation services to patients with neurologic, orthopedic, cardiac and respiratory disease. Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Current, valid, and active state Registered Nurse license in the state of employment required.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Two years relevant experience required.
  • Three years’ experience in a hospital nurse supervisory or management position preferred.

Additional Qualifications/

  • Knowledge of and adherence to current nursing theory and practice, infection control, and wound care standards of practice.
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards to ensure adherence to all standards set forth by state and accrediting agencies of TJC and CMS.
  • Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of treatment costs and financial support as they relate to quality and efficiency.
  • Demonstrates general computer skills including: data entry, word processing, email, and record management.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrates leadership skills with clinical and non‑clinical staff.
  • Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the staffing and administration of assigned unit. Supervises the caliber of treatment and care of the patients. Integrates the hospital’s mission and “Guiding Principles” into daily practice.
