Registered Nurse – Emergency Department – Full‑time Nights at Post Falls ER & Hospital seeks an energetic and client‑driven RN to coordinate and deliver patient care in the emergency setting for all ages.
Position Requirements- 2+ years of Emergency Room experience
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current licensure with the State Board of Nurse Examiners
- Current BCLS/CPR; ACLS, PALS, ENPC, or TNCC preferred
- Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
- Education and clinical skills appropriate for all age groups, including emergency procedures for stabilization
- Validation of clinical skills as outlined in the orientation checklist with annual competency maintenance
- Provide patient care to all ages in a safe, efficient, and cost‑effective manner, performing head‑to‑toe and psychosocial assessments and prioritizing care using five‑level triage.
- Supervise ER techs, radiology/CT techs, and other support personnel in the Emergency Department.
- Maintain current knowledge of medications and use the five rights of medication administration.
- Communicate professionally with patients, families, physicians, and departmental staff, demonstrating a service‑oriented and ethical approach.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, supporting daily environmental and quality checks according to hospital procedures and licensing standards.
- Keep nursing qualifications, certifications, licensure, and training up‑to‑date, completing mandatory education requirements on time.
- Participate in monthly staff meetings, performance‑improvement activities, and continuous education programs.
- Collect, process, and test laboratory samples following federal (CLIA), state, and accreditation guidelines, and participate in quality control and proficiency testing.
- Perform other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned by management and report to work as scheduled, obtaining approval for schedule changes.
