Nursing Assistant

Life Care Centers seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing to support clinical leadership in our Healthcare & Medical Services department. This role assists in managing nursing operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and staff development. Responsibilities include supervising nursing staff, coordinating care plans, supporting quality improvement initiatives, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. Ideal candidates are licensed RNs with leadership experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for senior care in a compassionate, patient-first, team-based environment focused on professional growth and excellent outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing all nursing services within the facility.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff to ensure consistent delivery of safe, compassionate, patient first care.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring care plans to meet the clinical, emotional, and rehabilitative needs of residents.
• Oversee daily clinical operations on assigned units, including staffing, assignments, and workflow prioritization.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Life Care Centers policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives focused on clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and regulatory readiness.
• Coordinate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to support optimal resident outcomes.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing education for nursing staff, promoting professional growth and best practices.
• Monitor infection prevention, medication administration, documentation, and clinical protocols to ensure accuracy and safety.
• Participate in family meetings, care conferences, and resident assessments, serving as a clinical resource and advocate.
• Assist with scheduling and workforce planning to ensure appropriate staffing levels while maintaining budget awareness.
• Respond to clinical emergencies, provide guidance in complex cases, and serve as a visible clinical leader on the floor.
• Contribute to performance evaluations, coaching, and corrective action processes as needed to support a high performing team.

• Collaborate with leadership on strategic initiatives to enhance rehabilitation services and overall healthcare outcomes.
