Northwest Specialty Hospital seeks a Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse Specialist to support our advanced surgical and specialty services in Post Falls, this hands-on role, you'll room patients, obtain histories and vitals, assist with procedures, administer medications within scope, and provide clear patient education. You'll document in the EHR, coordinate referrals and authorizations, and help maintain infection control and safety standards.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care support to surgeons and providers in clinic and procedural settings
- Room patients, obtain histories and vital signs, and prepare patients for exams and minor procedures
- Administer medications and injections per provider orders and scope of practice
- Perform clinical tasks such as EKGs, wound care, specimen collection, and basic diagnostic tests
- Document accurately in the electronic health record and ensure timely chart updates
- Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and patient education for surgical and specialty services
- Support patient flow, schedule follow-ups, and assist with discharge instructions
- Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and infection prevention standards
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure seamless, patient-centered care
- Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and ongoing skills development
