Job SummaryThe Shipping Coordinator I is responsible for executing established shipping procedures with a primary focus on freight coordination. This role performs routine shipping functions while working closely with the Shipping and Sales teams under the direction of the Shipping Manager.
PrimaryJob Responsibilities:
- Shipment Scheduling and Completion
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments by arranging transportation with freight carrier sin accordance with customer guidelines and packing lists.
- Schedule LTL and FTL shipments through customer portals as required.
- Utilize software, such as UPS, Fed Ex, etc., to process parcel shipments.
- Collaborate with team members to organize daily shipping activities and ensure all shipments are completed by scheduled ship-date.
- Prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Data Entry and Documentation
- Create, process and maintain shipping documentation and packing lists using SAP.
- Accurately enter and verify data related to work orders and finished goods.
- Education and Certifications
- High School diploma or equivalent education and/or relevant work experience.
- Technical Requirements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications preferred.
- Prior forklift experience preferred or willing and able to become certified.
- Ability to communicate professionally via phone and email.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Schedule Requirements
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Frequently required to stand, walk,bendand stoop.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklift sin accordance with established safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.
