Job Summary
The Tool Shop Fabricator will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting various types of molds, tools and equipment used in our manufacturing process. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in mold and die making, welding, injection molding processes, and CNC machining programming.
Responsibilities- Responsible for mold maintenance in a timely manner (tear down, grease, ejector pins and address any issues the mold has at the time).
- Welding and fabricating various materials (aluminum/steel molds, pipes, platforms, etc.).
- Accurately measuring materials for fabricating/cutting/fitting needs.
- Running a lathe/mill/surface grinder and other basic tool shop equipment.
- Use of hand tools, drill, grinders, pneumatic tools.
- Programming CNC machines.
- Reading print and CAD files.
- Setting up production machines.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certificate in tool and die making preferred.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Welding experience.
- Math skills required to take precision measurements.
- Knowledge of injection molding processes and related tooling preferred.
- Experience with CNC machining programming and operating manual and CNC machines.
- Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and quality orientation.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
