Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounting Manager

Description We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Potomac, Maryland. This position offers an opportunity to utilize your expertise in financial processes and tools to support accurate and efficient accounting operations. Responsibilities:

- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions.

- Prepare and post journal entries into the general ledger system.

- Perform regular bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.

- Utilize Quick Books Online to track and organize financial data effectively.

- Process payroll using Paychex Payroll software.

- Maintain compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

- Generate financial reports and summaries for review by management.

- Collaborate with the team to resolve discrepancies and improve accounting workflows.

- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to support financial planning. Requirements

4 plus years of accounting experience and an undergraduate degree in accounting is required. Additionally, strong proficiency in Quick Books Online and Paychex Payroll systems is preferred.
