Extended Day Proctor

The Extended Day Proctor provides supervision for a program of after school care for lower school and middle school students from 3:15 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Monday – Friday when school is in session. The program could also include scheduled half-day and/or full-day sessions when lower school/middle school is not in session, but school is open. This is a permanent part-time position of up to 15 hours per week and is not eligible for benefits.

Primary Responsibilities Assist with the development, coordination, and conducting of an engaging after-school program consisting of supervised play (both outdoor and indoor), study/homework time, creative activities, and snacks for lower/middle school students

Conduct activities as prescribed in the program

Interact with the children to support play and learning activities

Provide supervision and classroom management for students in the program

Assist in the purchase of supplies and materials needed for the program

Maintain an enrollment system for the Extended Day (School Year) program

Manage sign-in/out sheets

Monitor and help track students signing in and out for music lessons and enrichment activities and communicate with music teachers and enrichment program providers

Supervise daily snack time

Qualifications

Personal attributes include the ability to adapt quickly to ever-changing group dynamics settings, must be friendly and even-tempered.

Must have documented experience in providing child care and/or experience in an educational/social science field.

Work/volunteer experience in an educational setting is preferred

Must be at least 21 years of age Other Requirements Ability to lift and move boxes of files, office supplies, materials, etc. up to 25 lbs. as needed

First Aid/ CPR Certification or willingness to take 6-hour certification course

Salary: $26 - $28 per hour
