Virtualization Engineer - TS​/SCI CI POLY

Our work depends on a Virtualization Engineer joining our team to support Government activities in Sterling, VA or Annapolis Junction, MD.

As a Virtualization Engineer supporting the Government, you will be responsible for physical/virtual platforms, server build deployments, server virtualization, hyperconverged platforms, etc.

• Design and build virtual environment service models including Infrastructure-as-a-Service and Platform-as-a-Service.
• Identify, design, and implement process improvements for the virtualization of and distribution of applications: automating manual processes, optimizing delivery, re‑designing infrastructure for greater scalability.
• Design, implement, and maintain VMWare vSphere virtualization infrastructure, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and vSAN.
• Analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high‑level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations.
• Develop system architecture and system design documentation. Interact with the Government regarding technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
• Responsible for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility.

• 10+ Years of experience in relevant field and a High School Diploma.
• Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper‑V, or KVM. Proficiency in configuring and optimizing virtual machines, storage, and networking.
• Knowledge with configuration of virtual switches.
• VLANs. VMware Certified Professional certification.
