Job Overview
The Tax Senior Manager, Private Client & Family Office Services (PCS‑FOS) leads the PCS‑FOS group and is responsible for building a robust practice, providing exceptional client service, supervising work products, developing new business, mentoring team members, and managing the financial performance of the client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the full lifecycle of engagements, providing technical expertise in finance and accounting.
- Understand client technology packages and recommend optimal usage.
- Facilitate discovery meetings, map client structures and propose solutions.
- Design and deliver integrated solutions, including cost analysis and pricing.
- Formulate recommendations on technical accounting, financial policy, and financial management.
- Review and update solutions with clients, maintaining long‑term value.
- Assertively manage conflict and negotiate agreements.
- Support clients through change management and political navigation.
- Conduct tax planning analyses and refer matters to Core Tax or Specialty Tax Services.
- Support business development: build sales pipeline, refine proposals, evaluate risk, and develop statements of work.
- Develop industry expertise and cross‑sell opportunities.
- Foster a culture of change and accountability; coach staff on analytics, forecasting, and professional development.
- Create project plans, estimate budgets, manage P&L, bill timely, and monitor KPIs.
- Travel up to 25% of the time.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of general accounting experience with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or ten (10) years without a degree but with supervisory experience.
- At least four (4) years of supervisory experience.
- Consultative or business advisory experience, and experience with outsourced/delivery center operations preferred.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and industry accounting software (QBO, Microsoft NAV, ). Experience with ESI Archway, Qvinchi, and accounting research tools preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- In-depth knowledge of finance and accounting functions, tax planning, and industry best practices.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to lead teams, manage multiple projects, and drive quality and client satisfaction.
- Self‑directed, able to navigate ambiguity, and travel up to 25% of the time.
