We are seeking an AVP, Lead Wealth Advisor to join the team in Potomac, Maryland. This is an opportunity for an experienced wealth management professional to take a leading role in client relationships, investment strategy, and comprehensive financial planning while partnering with a collaborative team of advisors and outside professionals.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Lead and support client relationships, partnering with advisors to deliver thoughtful, highly personalized wealth strategies.
  • Evaluate client goals, risk profiles, financial circumstances, and investment experience to develop appropriate portfolio strategies.
  • Implement and oversee a broad range of investment and planning initiatives, including portfolio rebalancing, tax-loss harvesting, RMDs, charitable giving, lending, and education funding.
  • Monitor portfolios and investment performance, identifying opportunities to enhance or adjust strategies as client needs evolve.
  • Develop comprehensive financial plans and present recommendations and solutions directly to clients.
  • Prepare for and participate in client meetings, ensuring seamless execution of follow-up items and ongoing service needs.
  • Serve as a trusted resource for client questions involving investments, planning, transactions, and broader financial matters.
  • Develop proposals and presentations for prospective clients and support business development efforts.
  • Coordinate with clients’ attorneys, CPAs, and other professional advisors to deliver integrated wealth solutions.
  • Stay current on evolving wealth planning strategies, including estate and gift planning, taxation, insurance, credit, education, and philanthropy.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning through professional development, training, networking, and industry engagement.
What We’re Looking For:
  • 5+ years of experience in wealth management or a closely related field.
  • CFP® or another recognized wealth management/financial planning designation required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, financial planning, business, accounting, law, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Strong understanding of investment management and comprehensive financial planning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build trust and communicate complex concepts clearly.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage competing priorities and follow through on commitments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • A collaborative, adaptable mindset with the confidence to bring forward ideas and influence outcomes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with CRM, portfolio management, and financial planning platforms.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, initiative, and sound judgment.
  • Ability to work effectively across teams and build consensus with clients and professional partners.
  • Previous experience leading or supervising a team is a plus.
  • Very Competitive base salary + bonus structure.
