Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) to join our team as a contractor.

Responsibilities:

• Assist elderly patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications as prescribed by the healthcare team.
• Assist with mobility and transfers, including using assistive devices and proper body mechanics.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
• Follow all safety and infection control protocols.
• Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare team members.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a state-approved Geriatric Nursing Assistant training program.
• Current certification as a Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) in the state of employment.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a GNA in a healthcare setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
