Preventative Maintenance Technician

The Preventative Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting the Equipment Manager and Equipment Technicians in performing routine preventative maintenance and general repairs on Golf Course Maintenance equipment.

• High school diploma or equivalent, trade school or secondary education or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of basic engine mechanics and maintenance.
• Willingness to learn golf course operations and practices (helpful).
• Must be 18 years old and able to operate a motor vehicle with a valid driver's license.

• Assist the Equipment Manager and Equipment Technicians with preventative and curative maintenance on all golf course equipment.
• Complete daily service records.
• Help maintain appropriate parts inventory.
• Maintain a neat, orderly shop area; keep equipment clean and organized, ensuring a safe workplace.
• Receive thorough training before performing tasks; follow Golf Course Maintenance Operations Manual guidelines.
• Use personal protective clothing/equipment and comply with safety operating standards.

• Pay range: $19.50–$20 per hour.

• Exposed to a variety of outdoor weather conditions.
• Position requires lifting, pulling, or pushing up to or over 50 pounds; moving awkward-weighted items.
• Requires close, depth, color, distance, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must comply with all federal, state, and local safety and health regulations.

Travel is not expected for this position.

Work schedule:

Shifts based on business levels; no supervisory responsibilities.
