Lab Clerk

Job Description The Lab Clerk at Dermatology Partners provides support to the team by completing administrative and clerical data entry into critical systems. The Clerk will maintain order in the lab and ensure areas are clean to prevent cross-contamination.

Location:

Pottstown(on-site)

Responsibilities include:

Sorts and files all blocks once cutting is complete

Files slides once returned to lab via courier

Answers phones calls and assists with any requests

Data entry of patient demographics into EMR/Billing Systems Processing pathology billing

Preparing slides for transport with courier

Sorting incoming deliveries and mail and routing to the appropriate contact

Maintaining laboratory logs Cleaning laboratory to limit cross-contamination

Maintaining accurate records kept for quality control, quality assurance and patient data Accessioning specimens in a timely and accurate manner

Maintain order in laboratory and compliance to safety regulations.

General clean up around the lab to ensure a clean and presentable work area Other duties as assigned

Desired skills and attributes include:

High School Diploma Excellent written and verbal communication

Clean and presentable appearance

Team focused and is able to follow detailed instructions carefully with limited oversight

Organized, punctual and professional

Eager to grow and to learn with the company

Fluency in computer systems and a variety of software packages

Dedicated to patients and personable customer service

Passionate about the field of Dermatology
