Mental Health/Academic Counselor – Part Time

• Conduct drug and alcohol assessments and make recommendations
• Provide guidance information and resources
• Make referrals to appropriate community resources in accordance with school district guidelines
• Coordinate and implement group guidance programs, including anger management, grief, COA, changing families, anxiety, social skills, stress management, peer relations, and other topics as deemed necessary
• Respond to crisis situations when appropriate
• Collaborate with and support the Student Assistant Services Department

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field required
• Master's Degree and/or License in a related field preferred
• Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop good relationships with students, peers, parents, and community
• Well organized with good time management skills
• Ability to express self clearly and concisely in oral and written communications; and to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups
• Computer literate and competent with word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications
• Submission of PA School Personnel Health form
• Current Act 34, Act 151 and Act 114 clearances

$25.00 per hour, 499 hours for the year
