Manager IT - Nuclear Cyber Midwest
This position will be covering the Clean Energy Centers at Quad Cities, Dresden and Byron. This position will be required to be onsite at least 3 days a week or as operations demand. Plan and manage resources, finances, scope and services for the IT Cyber Security team supporting these Clean Energy Centers. Provide Cyber Security support to site cyber security plan and compliance with Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulations.
Establish, maintain and enhance relationships with clients. Participate in developing and implementing strategy/policy. Support cyber security long term assess management projects and other large-scale initiatives as appropriate.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
- Evaluate performance and provide coaching for IT personnel. Participate in career development and succession planning processes. Promote diversity and foster teamwork, collaboration, and a learning organization. Provide input on development and retention processes for IT employees.
- Lead a team of Cyber Security Analysts and Engineers in providing cyber security operations support and ensuring compliance with applicable NRC regulations.
- Support internal and external security audits and inspections.
- Maintain cyber defensive infrastructure equipment and associated processes and procedures.
- Establish, maintain, and enhance relationships with business and IT partners.
- Lead and manage IT projects and associated system integrators to deliver projects of medium to high complexity.
- Lead and manage IT staff and resources in accordance with IT Business Plan.
- Maintain current business knowledge/acumen, including application of technology solutions to deliver business results.
- Operate utilizing standard processes as defined within the Management Model where applicable.
- Oversee process improvement efforts and ensure adoption of standard processes and procedures that deliver sustainable top quartile cost and performance levels.
- Plan and manage scope, schedule, and budget for defined deliverables in accordance with IT project management standards. For operations/application maintenance:
Plan and manage to defined service level agreements at agreed upon budgets. - Prepare and manage budget for area of responsibility.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant experience, in lieu of bachelor's degree an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Experience managing budgets for functional area of responsibility.
- Knowledge of business practices and processes related to role
- Experience leading and managing IT projects or sub teams and knowledge of IT project management
- Ability to effectively convey complex technical information to both technical and nontechnical audiences including investigators, senior management, team members and others
- Appropriate technical skills:
Cyber Security Operations, Federal Regulatory Compliance, SIEM Monitoring and Operations. PMP certification preferred for specific roles as per guidelines established by the IT Project Management Office. - Experience leading and managing technical projects and personnel
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Analytical skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, problem solving and independent decision making
- Experience with in Nuclear Operations and NRC Compliance Support.
