Job Description

This Material Management Manager position is responsible for the development, management and maintenance of the Receiving, Shipping and Material Control functions for all facilities under the Video Ray Segment. This position performs the administrative and physical tasks involved in shipping, receiving, storing, tracking, distributing, and order fulfillment of materials, supplies, and equipment. Responsibilities include maintaining records and generating reports for accounting, property and other functional areas.

The primary responsibility is to control and track materials from receipt through storage to issue and shipment.

Position Responsibilities
  • Master Scheduling – create and maintain the overall schedule of products and orders to be produced and shipped, including target ship dates in support of customer requirements and the financial objectives of the business unit.
  • Production Planning – create and maintain the manufacturing orders necessary to produce components, subassemblies and final assemblies in support of the Master Schedule.
  • Inventory Control – execute pulling parts for manufacturing orders, receive, stock, and issue parts in an orderly manner to ensure accuracy of the company’s largest asset. Follow standard cycle count procedures in accordance with best industry practices and audit compliance.
  • MRP forecasting.
  • KPI development and management.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, accounting or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8 years of related functional experience (e.g., stockroom, inventory, shipping) or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Demonstrated computer skills and proficiency using office software and computerized inventory control system.
  • Strong problem‑solving, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills (verbal & written) and attention to detail.
  • Good understanding of DoT and international shipping regulations.
  • Familiarity with commercial electronics shipping practices and handling methods.
  • Experience with purchase order and inventory control data in a computerized MRP system.
  • Experience supporting FAA and DoT audits and administrative support.
  • Experience utilizing UPS, DHL or Fed Ex online shipping systems.
  • Experience with all facets of inventory management; ABC analysis, cycle counting, remote warehouse locations.
  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record required to drive company vehicles.
Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies
  • Strong computer skills – proficiency with ERP databases (Oracle) and Microsoft suites.
  • Ability to excel in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment where small R&D teams share a broad variety of duties.
  • Prior Hazmat shipping experience (lithium‑ion or equivalent) desired.
  • Knowledge of safe material handling practices and safe handling of electro‑static sensitive components (ESD) desired.
  • Effective communication with internal and external customers.
  • Teamwork, collaboration and putting the team’s success above personal interests.
  • Strong initiative and drive to accomplish goals and meet company objectives.
  • Champions change, promotes a culture of quick adaptation while helping others deal with change.
  • Works well with others to accomplish tasks in support of project plans.
  • Competency in tracking down and resolving discrepancies.
Physical Demands
  • Work in office, warehouse and assembly environments (constant).
  • Sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (frequent).
  • May operate dolly and/or pallet jack in loading and unloading supplies and equipment (occasional).
  • Lift up to 60 lbs.; handle objects of varying sizes and ship for shipment to and set up in various training sites/customers (occasional).
Special Requirements
  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Have or ability to have a DoD Security Clearance.
  • May be required to travel within the Continental U.S.
Salary Range

$106,500 – $151,200

ITAR Requirement

This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). Applicants must qualify as a U.S. person or be approved for an export license.
