Blood Collection – Customer Service

• Assist with every step of the blood collection process using healthcare and/or customer service skills
• Collaborate with the team to transport and set up equipment at local community collection sites
• Create a welcoming and comfortable environment for volunteer donors
• Follow safety procedures while collecting blood donations for delivery to hospitals
• Personally connect with donors, listen to their stories, and explain the impact of donations
• Ensure collected blood meets goals, regulatory requirements, and transfusion safety standards
• Drive Red Cross vehicles when required
• Set up and tear down equipment at donation sites
• Work variable schedules that may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays, and overnight travel

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Customer service experience
• Effective verbal communication skills
• Current, valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs
• Good manual dexterity
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Ability to adapt to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes
• Basic computer skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Candidates must reside in Montgomery County, PA and Bucks County, PA
• Position may require a minimum height of 60 inches to safely operate Red Cross vehicles

Demonstrates strong customer service skills and effective verbal communication while assisting in the blood collection process. Ensures compliance with safety procedures and regulatory requirements, while maintaining a welcoming environment for donors.
