• Thoroughly assess and monitor patients with cancer and blood disorders, ensuring timely identification and response to changes in their condition.
• Collaborate on personalized treatment plans and administer specialized medications, such as chemotherapy and immunotherapy, while ensuring patient safety.
• Assist patients in managing symptoms and offer emotional support, counselling, and guidance to patients and their families.
• Be a strong advocate for patients within the healthcare system, ensuring their rights and needs are met by coordinating with the healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including assessments and care plans, and promptly report any deviations from the treatment plan or adverse events.

Candidate requirements

• Current and valid Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Certification in Oncology Nursing (OCN) or Hematology Nursing (CHN).
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Prior experience in oncology and hematology nursing is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Compassionate and empathetic demeanor.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
