Adelphia Gateway LLC, a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources, is seeking an Instrumentation and Electrical Technician to implement and maintain electrical power circuits and equipment, control and automation systems, and electronic and pneumatic equipment used in pipeline applications, compressor stations, plant operations and measurement facilities. The role supports safety, reliability and regulatory compliance across pipeline operations and will involve collaboration with multiple departments and shifts as needed.

• Install, inspect, maintain, operate, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and electronic equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance on pumps, compressors, drivers, and auxiliary equipment.
• Calibrate pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters, gas meters, and troubleshoot gas meter errors.
• Install and program remote terminal units.
• Perform routine odorant testing.
• Install and troubleshoot flow computers.
• Collaborate with Pipeline Controllers during point-to-point testing.
• Troubleshoot and tune gas regulators, control valves and actuators.
• Maintain gas chromatographs.
• Perform inspections and maintenance checks on all control systems.
• Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns.
• Maintain electrical switch gear and power distribution up to 480V.
• General upkeep and maintenance of facilities and equipment as needed.
• Complete required safety and OQ training programs.
• Assist with compiling and preparing information and reports related to gas/liquid flow and quality, maintenance logs, sample collection, pipeline activities, and related tasks.
• Document repairs and maintenance activities and update as-built drawings accordingly.
• Suggest equipment improvements and new equipment purchases.

• Associate’s degree in a job-related technical field or equivalent military training is required.
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience preferred.
• Ability to read and utilize equipment manuals, drawings, schematics, alignment sheets and P&.
• Knowledge of electrical measurement instruments (voltmeter, ammeter, ohmmeter, oscilloscope, etc.).
• Ability to install conduit and wiring for controls and equipment supply.
• Working knowledge of National Electric Codes and proficiency with electronic test instruments.
• Knowledge of process controls and gas processing fundamentals.
• Must obtain OQ qualifications in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements; certifications may be required to perform duties.
• Working knowledge of regulatory requirements (OSHA, DOT, EPA and state regulations) and Company Standard Operating Procedures with required documentation.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors around mechanical, industrial and electrical equipment with high noise levels.
• Willingness to work in temperature extremes and to lift, push, pull, and operate equipment and tools.
• Ability to climb and work at heights and in cramped or restricted spaces.
• Role may require overtime, 24/7 call outs, extended workdays/weeks, and shift work based on business needs.
• Must live within 35 miles of the assigned work location.

Location type is onsite. This position is deemed safety-sensitive under PHMSA regulations, and may involve drug and alcohol testing (including pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion and post-accident). Marijuana testing is included and prohibited for safety-sensitive duties.

Compensation:
Expected base pay range is $77,000 – $104,000. Base pay depends on experience, skills and knowledge. Eligible for an annual short-term incentive program.
