The H&K Group is seeking a Road Mechanic to maintain and repair heavy construction equipment supporting projects across the Mid-Atlantic region. In this field-based role, you will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on loaders, excavators, pavers, trucks, and related fleet, both in the shop and on jobsites. Responsibilities include performing scheduled and emergency repairs, conducting inspections, completing service documentation, and ensuring safe, reliable operation of all equipment.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on heavy construction equipment
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on fleet and road equipment
- Respond to field service calls and complete emergency repairs on jobsites
- Conduct equipment inspections and identify safety or performance concerns
- Maintain accurate service, inspection, and repair documentation
- Use diagnostic tools, service manuals, and technical data to troubleshoot issues
- Operate service truck, tools, and lifting equipment safely and efficiently
- Collaborate with supervisors and operators to prioritize and schedule repairs
- Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies
- Support continuous improvement of equipment reliability and uptime
