Schedule:

Why Buxmont Academy?
At Buxmont Academy, we work with students in grades 7–12 who may have experienced challenges in school, at home, or in their communities. Our goal isn't simply to manage behavior or get students through school day. We help young people develop the skills, relationships, and confidence they need to move forward.
Our campuses are intentionally designed to create a different kind of school environment:
- Small class sizes where students can be known as individuals
- High staff-to-student support and opportunities to build meaningful relationships
- Collaborative educational and therapeutic teams working toward shared goals
- A culture that emphasizes respect, accountability, growth, and second chances
- A commitment to understanding the young person behind the behavior
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building positive, trusting relationships with adolescents
- Providing individual and group counseling support
- Facilitating group sessions and restorative circles
- Supporting students in developing social-emotional, behavioral, and conflict-resolution skills
- Implementing behavioral interventions and helping students work through challenging situations
Qualified candidates will have:
- A bachelor's degree or higher in counseling, education, psychology, social work, human services, or a related field
- Experience working with adolescents and/or supporting behavioral or social-emotional needs
- The ability to remain calm, patient, and professional during challenging situations
- Experience with restorative practices, trauma-informed approaches, school-based counseling, behavioral health, or working with youth who have experienced significant challenges is a plus.
- Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who genuinely believes that every young person deserves to be treated with dignity, held accountable, and given the opportunity to grow.
What We Offer
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- Paid time off & Employee Assistance Program
- The opportunity to earn a graduate certificate in restorative practices at no cost through the IIRP Graduate School
