Accounting Clerk

Description

A growing organization is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join its accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in accounting while gaining hands-on experience with day-to-day financial operations.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, including debits and credits, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

+ Process and enter accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

+ Review invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy

+ Assist with account reconciliations and month-end closing activities

+ Record journal entries and maintain accurate financial records

+ Apply payments and research discrepancies as needed

+ Organize and maintain accounting files and documentation

+ Utilize Excel to track financial information, manipulate data, and prepare reports

+ Assist with data entry, account analysis, and special projects as assigned

+ Communicate with internal departments regarding financial information and outstanding items

Requirements

Qualifications

+ Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred

+ Recent accounting graduates encouraged to apply

+ Understanding of basic accounting concepts, including debits, credits, and general ledger transactions

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting/filtering data, and basic spreadsheets

+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy

+ Excellent organizational and time-management skills

+ Eagerness to learn and grow within an accounting environment
