Location: The Gardens at York Terrace – Pottsville, PA
Pay: Starting at $15/hour
Schedule: 20 hours per week | Including Every Other Weekend (EOW) | 3 holidays on / 3 holidays off

The Gardens at York Terrace is seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Assistant to join our skilled nursing facility team. In this role, you will support and engage residents through a variety of recreational and therapeutic activities under the guidance of the Director of Activities.

• Support the emotional, recreational, and social well-being of residents.

• Assist residents with daily activities such as writing letters, making phone calls, and participating in civic responsibilities (e.g., voter registration).

• Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress.

• Assist with mail distribution, escort residents to programs, care for facility plants and pets, and support internal communications and the monthly newsletter.

• Facilitate and lead activity programs that promote engagement, creativity, and social connection.

• Distribute craft supplies and supervise residents during activities, encouraging participation in creative projects.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Experience in long-term care or working with elderly or disabled individuals preferred.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
