Position:Staff Accountant General Description
The Staff Accountant (Payroll/A/P) will assist with various financial functions of the agency primarily the processing of payroll and accounts payable.
Principal DutiesEntering approved invoices into accounting software, properly coding to accounts and funding sources, printing checks and submitting complete packet for signature. Communicating with vendors as necessary. Maintaining accurate and complete vendor files.
Reviewing timesheet data for accuracy. Entering timesheet data in payroll software, preparing and reviewing payroll checks. Preparing payroll reports. Ensuring timely payroll tax and related payments of with holdings. Preparing payroll tax returns for review by Director of Finance. Maintaining payroll records and files.
Assisting during annual audit and periodic audits by oversight agencies.
BA/BS Accounting/Business Administration degree or equivalent work experience required. Requires a proficient knowledge of PC operations, especially spreadsheet applications. Knowledge of Quick Books Pro 2004, Yardi, Excel and Access.
License RequirementsValid drivers license
OtherRequires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision; must be a self-starter, organized and detail-oriented, able to multi-task, have intermediate math skills, foresight, planning, flexibility and ability to pay great attention to detail.
Paylocity experience preferred.
