Staff Accountant
The Staff Accountant (Payroll/A/P) will assist with various financial functions of the agency primarily the processing of payroll and accounts payable.
Principal Duties- Accounts Payable:
Enter approved invoices into accounting software, properly code to accounts and funding sources, print checks and submit complete packet for signature. Communicate with vendors as necessary and maintain accurate vendor files. - Monitor compliance with vendor information, including obtaining updated W-9 and insurance information.
- Payroll:
Review timesheet data for accuracy, enter timesheet data in payroll software, prepare and review payroll checks, prepare payroll reports, ensure timely payroll tax and related payments of with holdings, prepare payroll tax returns for review by Director of Finance, maintain payroll records and files. - Annual Audit:
Assist during annual audit and periodic audits by oversight agencies. - Other duties as assigned.
Education/Knowledge: BA/BS Accounting/Business Administration degree or equivalent work experience required. Proficient knowledge of PC operations, especially spreadsheet applications. Knowledge of Quick Books Pro 2004, Yardi, Excel and Access.
License Requirements:
Valid driver's license.

Requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision; must be a self-starter, organized and detail-oriented, able to multi-task, have intermediate math skills, foresight, planning, flexibility and ability to pay great attention to detail. Paylocity experience preferred.
Salary: $60,000 (Annual)
