Skilled Construction Laborer

Role Description

This is a full-time, on‑site Skilled Construction Laborer role based in Poughkeepsie, NY. The Skilled Construction Laborer will perform hands‑on tasks such as assisting with temporary protection, supporting general construction activities, and helping install or repair flooring. Day‑to‑day responsibilities may include site preparation and cleanup, loading and unloading materials, using hand and power tools, and assisting with renovation projects under the direction of site supervisors.

The role involves following safety procedures, working collaboratively with other crew members, and maintaining a clean, organized work area. The laborer may also support basic building maintenance tasks as needed.

• OSHA 30 for construction
• Construction and renovation skills, including experience supporting general construction tasks and project work.
• Masonry skills, such as assisting with brick, block, or stone work, and basic concrete‑related tasks.
• Flooring skills, including helping with installation, repair, or removal of various flooring materials.
• Ability to perform basic research related to materials, tools, or methods to support efficient, safe work practices.
• Prior experience as a construction laborer or in a related trade preferred.
• Ability to lift and move materials, stand for extended periods, and work in varying weather conditions.
• Commitment to safety, including following OSHA and company guidelines at all times.
• Reliable transportation to Bronx, NY job sites and flexibility to work standard full‑time construction schedules.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and punctuality; ability to take direction and complete tasks independently.
